I remember being thrilled about this interview. I have admired Sy Smith's music for quite a while. This station has been backing her music from the start. She plays a significant role in the Neo-Soul narrative, and I had been hoping for this chance for a long time. She's really personable. If you've ever seen or heard any of the other interviews she's done and that stands out. I really enjoyed the conversation.

On another note, Sy is up for yet another Soultracks.com Reader's Choice Award. This year has been nominated for Album of the Year (the second nomination in this category and the seventh overall nomination) for her latest project "Until We Meet Again".
